About
The famous Weavers' Market always takes place on the last weekend in July in Haslach an der Mühl. The Mühlviertel region, located in northern Upper Austria on the border with Bavaria and Bohemia, has always been a linen weaving region, with Haslach as the centre of the local textile trade. The Textile Kultur Haslach Association continues this tradition, organising an international weavers' market, textile courses and exhibitions since 1991.
The market takes place in the oldest part of Haslach, in the winding alleys ‘auf der Stelzn’ and around the old ‘Vonwiller’ textile factory, which now houses the Haslach Textile Centre. It primarily offers hand weavers, textile artists and local weaving companies an opportunity to sell their high-quality products and showcase their unique quality to an expert audience. Each year, a jury of experts selects around 100 exhibitors from numerous applications. ART AUSTRIA has awarded the Haslach Weavers' Market its seal of quality and has ranked it number one among Austrian arts and crafts markets for years.
Parallel to the Weavers' Warket, there is always the Faserzone, where yarns, small textile tools and materials are sold.
Weavers' Market Haslach as a green event
Since 2025, the Webermarkt has been officially certified as a Green Event . This allows us to set an example for sustainability and environmental awareness – from resource-saving organisation and regional catering to promoting climate-friendly travel. Together with our exhibitors and visitors, we want to contribute to making textile diversity a responsible experience.
Textile Centre Haslach
The Textile Centre Haslach is a collaboration between five partners who are based under the same roof in a historic factory complex and want to continue the textile tradition of the Mühlviertel region. Their areas of focus vary greatly, resulting in a wide range of synergies between the museum, production, education and art.
DIFFERENT APPROACHES – SHARED VISIONS
As an open house, the Textile Centre Haslach offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history and present of textile manufacturing and design processes and to gain insights into complex textile contexts in an extraordinary atmosphere. We want to be a point of contact for professionals with specific concerns and contribute to ensuring that the rich textile knowledge and cultural heritage is not lost.
