Call for Participants Weavers' Market 2026

The Summer Symposium TEXTILE KULTUR HASLACH will take place from 20th to 31st of July 2026 in Haslach an der Mühl / Upper Austria. The program includes courses and workshops, textile exhibitions and of course the two days’ Weavers’ Market. The Faserzone , a trade fair for yarn, raw materials and accessories will be held parallel with the Weavers’ Market from Friday, 24th to Sunday, 26th of July. Weavers’ Market – Crowd puller for textile lovers

The Weavers’ Market is primarily intended for hand-weavers, local weaving companies and textile creators, who work in a variety of textile techniques. They can present their unique and high-quality products and creations to an interested and knowledgeable audience. ART AUSTRIA Arts and Crafts in Austria has awarded the Weavers´ Market in Haslach the seal of quality and has been ranking it for years number one of the Austrian craft markets. We strive to maintain the high standard of this market. A jury of experts therefore selects a maximum of 100 participants among the applications.

 

Starting this year, an admission fee of €4 per person will be charged to visit the Weavers’ Market.

 

1.   Application

You can apply to be an exhibitor at the Webermarkt using an online form.

Applications that do not meet the requirements of the call for participants will not be considered.

 

2. Selection process

A panel of experts will decide on participation and inform you of their decision by email by Friday, 20 March 2026 at the latest. The judging process is not public, and the members of the panel will not be disclosed. The market is limited to 100 exhibitors. In order to achieve a constantly changing market image, it is therefore possible that exhibitors who have been participating in Haslach for many years may have to sit out once. We ask for your understanding.

A fixed stand will be allocated to a few selected textile companies from the Mühlviertel, while the expert jury will decide on the participation of all other applicants.

 

3. Stall fee and terms of payment

Per wooden stand provided by the organiser (table area 2 x 1 m, with roof approx. 2 x 2 m):  200,-         

For a standard-size tent measuring 3 m x 3 m (you must bring your own tent): 250,-

Each additional square metre is charged at 25,- !

 

The exact amount of the stand fee depends on the size of the area ordered.

You will receive the invoice for the stand fee by e-mail and it must be paid by 15 May 2026.

 

4. Stalls

40 stalls are provided by the organizer. They have a table surface of approx. 2 x 1 m, a height of approx. 2 m and a roof. Since these stalls are not suitable for all products, we ask you to bring your own equipment, especially for clothes. Please specify in the application form exactly how your equipment is like, which will enable us to arrange the exhibition layout. Please bring your own clothes racks, mirrors, seats, etc.!

The market area is open-air, every exhibitor is responsible for the weather resistance of his or her stall!

 

5. Allocation of stall location

The team of Textile Kultur Haslach allocates the locations of the stalls. Special requests can only be considered to a limited extent due to the nature of the exhibition area and the different sizes of the locations. An exchange or passing-on of the stall location to third parties is not permitted.

 

6. Cancellation

The following cancellation fees apply to cancellations of confirmed participations:

  • Cancellation after 15 May: 50% of the exhibitor fee
  • In case of no-show or early departure: 100% of the exhibitor fee

 

7. Assembly and Disassembly

The assembly of the tents or stalls is possible on Friday, only from 4 p.m. On Saturday the assembly is possible from 6.30 a.m. For assembly and disassembly the access into the market area by car is only possible to a limited extent. It is therefore recommended to arrive early for the assembly of the stalls. Volunteers from our association will help you carry your goods. The market starts at 9 a.m., at this time the stall must be fully stocked with the products. The market area is not guarded. The goods can be stored in a large hall or partially in private homes overnight from Saturday to Sunday.

 

8. Insurance

The organiser does not provide any insurance for your goods or exhibits in case of theft or damage.

 

9. Parking

Designated parking spaces are available for exhibitors. We kindly ask you to use these car parks! The unloading of goods must be completed at least half an hour before the start of the daily opening hours. Under no circumstances may cars be parked on the market square; they must be returned to the exhibitor car park on both days. It is also to your advantage if your customers can park as close as possible to the market. 

 

10. Force majeure

If the exhibitors pack up earlier due to bad weather, they are not entitled to claim refund or reduction of the stall fee. There can be no claim for reimbursement of expenses or loss of profit against the organiser.

 

Should it be impossible to hold the weavers' market due to force majeure (bad weather, pandemic, etc.), the stand rental fees will be refunded. Cancellation costs incurred for accommodation etc. will not be covered by Textile Kultur Haslach.

 

11. Sustainability

The Weavers’ Market Haslach pays attention to a sustainable implementation of the event. With their application, all exhibitors undertake to observe these conditions:

  • You, as an exhibitor, do not hand out any plastic bags to visitors. Only paper or reusable bags (e.g. made of fabric) will be handed out.
  • You adhere to the garbage disposal system organized by the organizer and make sure to dispose your garbage properly.
  • You make sure that your arrival and departure is as climate-friendly as possible (public transport, carpooling etc.).
  • Information material may only be distributed to interested visitors.

 

12. Privacy

Your details (name, website), as well as the information you provide us with under ‘Information for publication (exhibitor directory)’ and any product photos you upload, will be published on our website if your application is successful. During the Weavers’ Market, photos and videos will be taken and published on our website and social media channels. By submitting your application, you agree to this.

14. Cash Register Requirement

Call for Participants Faserzone 2026

General Information

The FASERZONE is part of the summer symposium TEXTILE KULTUR HASLACH. This well-known event has been taking place for over 30 years in the beautiful weaving village of Haslach an der Mühl in the north of Upper Austria and includes textile courses and workshops, special exhibitions, specialist lectures and many other offers that attract a constantly growing specialist audience.

The highlight of the summer symposium is the INTERNATIONAL WEAVERS’ MARKET, where thousands of visitors from near and far come to Haslach to buy high-quality, handmade products. Materials, yarns and accessories are offered parallel in the materialfair FASERZONE - a service that is particularly appreciated in times when sources of supply for high-quality materials and expert advice are becoming increasingly rare.

2. Fee and terms of payment

The stand fee depends on your order. The following three variants are available:

  • Variant 1: 3 x 2.5 m (8 m2) 250 €
  • Variant 2: 4.5 x 2.5 m (11.25 m2) 340 €
  • Variant 3: 6 x 2.5 m (15 m2) 450 €

Two chairs and power connection (220V) are included in all variants. Room height: approx. 3 m

Rent per table (1.40 x 0.70 m): € 5,-

If the options do not meet your expectations, please contact us and we will try to respond to your wishes.

 

You will receive the invoice for the stand fee by e-mail and it must be paid by 15 May 2026.

 

3. FASERZONEN-area

You have different stand sizes to choose from, a power connection (light flux) is available at each stand. Tables in the size of 1.40 x 0.70 m each can be provided for an extra charge.

Please let us know if you are taking your own presentation devices with you and what size they are – thank you!

 

4. Allocation of space

The team of Textile Kultur Haslach divides the exhibition space. Wishes can only be considered to a limited extent. An exchange or transfer to other exhibitors is not permitted.

 

5. Reservation confirmation

We confirm your participation by 20th of March 2025 at the latest. In the event of a cancellation on our part, we will also send you a corresponding e-mail by 20th of March 2025. We ask you to send us the full stand fee by 15th of May 2025 only after receipt of our written reservation confirmation. Only with the payment the reservation of the stand is secured.

We ask for your understanding that we can only definitively guarantee participation after the full exhibition fee is paid.

Stand reservations for which the exhibition fee has not been received on time or incompletely - this applies above all to transfers that have not been received free of charge for the recipient - we unfortunately have to withdraw!

 

6. Cancellation

The following cancellation fees apply to cancellations of confirmed participations:

  • Cancellation after 15 May: 50% of the exhibitor fee
  • In case of no-show or early departure: 100% of the exhibitor fee

 

7. Insurance

The organiser does not provide any insurance for your goods or exhibits in case of theft or damage.

 

8. Customs-, postfee and postage

The organizer does not pay any fees for prior delivery of goods.

 

9. Set-up and dismantling of the stand

Exhibitors are invited to arrive on Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to ensure the set-up until the start at 4 p.m. The goods can remain in the room during the days of the fair. The hall is locked, but not guarded. The dismantling will take place on Sunday from 5 pm. Access to the hall by car is only possible from 6 pm.

 

10. Parking

On Saturday and Sunday, the car cannot be parked in front of the exhibition venue, as the Weaver’s market takes place. Designated parking spaces are available for exhibitors, which must be used at all costs. The unloading of goods must be completed at least half an hour before the start of the daily opening hours. Under no circumstances may the cars be parked on the market square or directly in the exhibition grounds.

 

11. Privacy

Your details (name, website), as well as the information you provide us with under ‘Information for publication (exhibitor directory)’ and any product photos you upload, will be published on our website if your application is successful. During the Weavers’ Market and the Faserzone, photos and videos will be taken and published on our website and social media channels. By submitting your application, you agree to this.

Selection process

A panel of expertswill decide on the allocation of the 100 market stalls. You will be informed of the decision by email by mid-March.

In order to ensure that the market always has a fresh look, long-standing participants may have to take a break. A few selected textile companies from the Mühlviertel region will be allocated permanent stands. In addition, the jury will award two free places to students under the age of 30.

  • The market will take place in Haslach in the historic streets ‘auf der Stelzn’ and around the Textile Centre Haslach.
  • All stands are open-air.

Participation information for exhibitors

Set-up and dismantling

  • Set-up times:

    • Friday from 4 pm

    • Saturday from 6:30 am (ready for market opening at 9 am)

  • Dismantling times:

    • Saturday from 6 pm

    • Sunday from 5 pm (access by car from 5:30 pm)

  • Note: Please follow the instructions of our organisation team and allow sufficient time for unloading. Car access to the market area is only possible during the specified time slots.

  • Sunday: 9 am - 5 pm

Parking

  • Exhibitor parking spaces are signposted and are available exclusively for your use on both market days.

  • Unloading: No later than 30 minutes before the market opens (Saturday 9 am, Sunday 9 am).

  • Rückfahrt der Fahrzeuge After unloading, vehicles must be returned to the designated parking spaces.

  • Quality & diversity: The Weavers' Market thrives on your craftsmanship and creative diversity.
    Market prices, special offers or sales are not permitted.

  • Decorative stand image: Please design your stand to be appealing and decorative so that the entire market is eye-catching.

  • Product consistency: Only present the works and products that you submitted to the jury during the application process.

  • Signage: Each sales stand must be clearly marked with your name and contact address.

  • Jury seal: To indicate the quality that has been tested, we will provide each stand with a "JURY SEAL" (quality seal).
