The famous Weavers' Market always takes place on the last weekend in July in Haslach an der M\u00fchl. The M\u00fchlviertel region, located in northern Upper Austria on the border with Bavaria and Bohemia, has always been a linen weaving region, with Haslach as the centre of the local textile trade. The Textile Kultur Haslach Association continues this tradition, organising an international weavers' market, textile courses and exhibitions since 1991.\n\n

The market takes place in the oldest part of Haslach, in the winding alleys \u2018auf der Stelzn\u2019 and around the old \u2018Vonwiller\u2019 textile factory, which now houses the Haslach Textile Centre. It primarily offers hand weavers, textile artists and local weaving companies an opportunity to sell their high-quality products and showcase their unique quality to an expert audience. Each year, a jury of experts selects around 100 exhibitors from numerous applications. ART AUSTRIA has awarded the Haslach Weavers' Market its seal of quality and has ranked it number one among Austrian arts and crafts markets for years.\n

Since 2025, the Webermarkt has been officially certified as a Green Event<\/em> . This allows us to set an example for sustainability and environmental awareness \u2013 from resource-saving organisation and regional catering to promoting climate-friendly travel. The Textile Centre Haslach is a collaboration between five partners who are based under the same roof in a historic factory complex and want to continue the textile tradition of the M\u00fchlviertel region. Their areas of focus vary greatly, resulting in a wide range of synergies between the museum, production, education and art.<\/p>
